A Called Community

All of the Christian life, and therefore the life and ministry of the church is supposed to center on God's calling. God calls us into existence as our Creator. God calls us into new life in Christ by redeeming us. And God calls us to live in accordance with who and what he’s made and redeemed us to be. Our calling as Christians and as the Church is to recognize and submit to the fact that we are not our own, but belong – body and soul, in life and death – to our faithful Savior Jesus Christ. Our calling now is to be wholeheartedly willing and ready from now on to live for him.
